Smile! :) Yellow Nail Polish by Primark Beauty

yellow smiley nails rihanna

I’ve recently seen this photo of Rihanna having these amazing smiley face nails and I knew that I need to try them as well.

My nails don’t look as neat as hers and my thumb smiley got destroyed while I was removing Hazels run from the living room floor (dammit I got no patience with letting nail polish dry!), but I could kind of save it I guess.

For the base used Neon Yellow from Primark Beauty.

For the smileys I simply used my Eye Liner Pen!

The base needed 2 coats as the nail polish is quite thin. With the eye liner pen it was super easy to draw on the nails.

Happy times!

Good nail polish doesn’t need to be expensive!

I found this stunning nail polish named Witchcraft by George at Asda for wait for it…………£1!! George Asda has lots of different lovely colours available and I wonder why I didn’t buy more.

The quality is really good and I only used one thin layer to get the great result you can see here. Also it dries very quickly.

I can only highly recommend this nail polish to all bargain hunters out there! And may I also say that I totally love the name of the colour!

How to: EASY Leopard print nails DIY

You won’t believe how quick and easy it is to paint yourself these super stylish leopard print nails! I’ve gone for pink, but you can choose whatever colour combination you like!

You will need:

– one colour for the base coat (I chose baby pink from BARRY M)

– one colour for the circles (I chose hot pink from PRIMARK)

– black nail pen (You get a cheap and good one from PRIMARK!)

To get your leopard print nails simply follow these 3 steps:

Step 1 – Choose a base coat and paint your nails.

Step 1 – Choose a base coat and paint your nails.

Step 2 – Choose a second colour and draw some random smaller and bigger circles on. It’s super easy!

Step 2 – Choose a second colour and draw some random circles on.

Step 3 – Use your black nail pen to carefully surround your circles. By doing so leave small gaps. After that, add two or three individual little dots, if you can find space.

Step 3 – Use your black nail pen to carefully surround your circles.

At the end you can paint a clear top coat on if you want, but it is not necessary.
Et voila! Super cool and glamorous leopard print nails!
Will you give it a try? If you do, please comment or send me a photo – I am curious to see what colours you chose!

Try out your nail polish on tips

If you are one of these girls who cannot get enough nail polish and who likes to try different colours and glitters together to get the best combinations you should get yourself some tips to try your nail polish on.

Cotton buds glued on a nail tip. Makes it so much easier to apply and test your nail polish!

I usually get myself the extreme curved nail tips because they look lovely and they give your nails this natural curve.

My tip box has 10 different tip sizes, from which I only use 4 – the rest goes in the bin, OR as you can see in the picture, I glue them on a cotton bud. For this I use super glue or the glue I use for gluing the tips on my nails (Pardon my English! I am no native and also I am hungry!).

This little idea makes it so much easier to try out your newest possession, without possibly messing up your nails!

This is how my nails look currently with the curved nail tips on:
